Langara Queer CommitteeThe Langara Queer Committee provides a sex-positive safe space for the Queer students of Langara and their allies. We provide all lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, trans-gendered, two-spirited and questioning people on campus with a casual social environment to meet others, hang out, get informed and have fun.
The committee is a social support network that organize around social events and political initiatives. From starting the first campus team on the Gay Bowling League to organizing fundraisers for organizations of interest to the Queer community, the collective provides many opportunities to build relationships with people and organizations both on and off campus.
Throughout the year, the LQC holds special events to promote visibility on campus. Most events are open to all students and include: guest speakers, educational presentations, social gatherings, and of course the annual Queer Day celebration. To find out how you can meet other queers on Campus, call the Students' Union at 604-324-3881 extention 0 and ask to speak to the SEXUAL AND GENDER DIVERSITY ADVISOR!
